Declutter Your Social Circle

Your social circle has a tremendous impact on your life.

The bigger your circle is, the bigger your chances of NOT finding authenticity. Unless, of course, it is what you want. However, in the context of blissful living, authenticity will have to be the top thing you have to search for.

In a social circle where people act by their ego, you feel suffocated and exhausted trying to fit in or go with something you are uncomfortable with for the sake of friendship or maybe because it is convenient. Little do you know that eventually, you pretentiously blend with them. You play along and get the same thing at the end of the day. Their habits become your habits as well. Their energy becomes your energy. Their thoughts become yours, too. Gradually, you lose your sense of being.

Blending with these types of people is that dangerous because you don’t see it happening. It happens slowly and then habitually until it consumes your sense of being. Eventually, it wears you out because what flows in you is not coming from the soul. It is from the ego. And that’s not authenticity. Then you wonder years later, where have you gone? You then search for who you are and no avail because you let your social circle mold you into someone you are not.

A Decluttered Social Circle Is Essential

Decluttering your social circle is essential to attain such a life. It creates a safe space to discover yourself without being pulled towards something you do not intend to be or someplace you do not want to be in.

If you aim for a blissful life, remove the ones that impede your growth. You do not need a lot of people in your life. You only need the ones who make an effort to build solid relationships with you. And these are the ones who embody authenticity within them. When you choose to be with them, you breathe lightly. Together, you will flow and grow into the most authentic you.
