The Grace of Ageing
Ageing is not supposed to be scary. Instead, you have to regard it with grace.
When you age, you are permitted to reach a level of upgrade. Growth. The kind of permission you don’t get when you’re young, no matter how advanced your maturity level is. Being young means you’re supposed to follow the rules, traverse, and be expected to make mistakes. Typically, deciding on your life is not recognized as an option.
However, as you age, the binding ties loosen up, allowing you to make choices. You can either hang on or take advantage of the upgrade. But only when you choose to. Not many people get to this point, though. Unfortunately, some stay stuck in the mindset and lifestyle of a 14-year-old teenager.
Growth is a choice. It does not just happen. You have to choose it to allow it to occur to you. And the moment you make that choice, it empowers you more than ever. Your old layers fall off. The old programs, old beliefs, and even the old ways of doing things do not work any more. They start to feel strange, resonating with you no longer. One by one. As if a light bulb just turned on.
Then you begin to recognize this. Growth reveals the new you. No longer your old self, the one everybody knew. You gain a new mindset; a new perspective on life. Expectations melt away. You now have requirements. This time, it’s a whole new, different scene.
   Talk straight.
   Respect my time.
   Match my effort.
   Keep your word.
   Be honest.
   Stay consistent.
Anything less than that, you are not taking in. Suddenly, you’ve grown. And as you look back, you realize ageing is an incredible gift.
Are you ready to embrace it?
