TRANSHUMANISM: An Alteration of Divine Path

From the spiritual context, we are not supreme. I am aware that not everyone believes in the existence of God. But whether you believe in it or not, it is undeniable that there is one Great Force, the only Source of all.

Although technology is not bad, it should push us to be more human rather than to play supreme over God.

We may be capable, yes. But even our intelligence has limitations. Such limitations are for a reason, but never to define us as imperfect.

We are what we are — mortal HUMAN beings, living for a purpose.

Genesis 1:27 says, “God created humanity in His own image.” God’s creations are truly magnificent, but the crown of His creation is us — humans. Therefore, there is no absolute artist and creator other than God. And He, the Source of all, does not make a mistake.

In God’s eyes, we are exemplary. We are perfectly created just as we are, including our physical limitations and our intellectual capacities. Our unique faculties and abilities are part of our overall design to carry a greater purpose. Truthfully, though, our purpose is diverse. Each is different from one person to another. However, each one of us plays an essential part in this path called life. Otherwise, all our experiences mean nothing in the grand scheme of things.

The New Ideology

With the rise of technology comes the rise of new ideologies. These new ideologies challenge the core of our perfect design. One of these new ideologies is “Transhumanism.” It pursues augmenting humans’ physical and intellectual abilities.

Examples of Transhumanism are:

1) Nanotechnology
2) Anti-aging Therapies
3) Bionic Implants
4) Brain-Computer Interference (BCI)
5) Brain Microchipping
6) Cryonics
7) Genetic Engineering
8) Mind Uploading, and
9) Artificial Intelligence (AI)

This trend is quite concerning in the spiritual context.

The Split

In the religious aspect, though, there are two things we know:

#1: God created us in His image and likeness. We are, indeed, perfectly made. God even calls us His masterpiece.

#2: The Devil, on the other hand, masquerades as the Angel of Light. He imitates God BUT DISRUPTS God’s perfect creation.

Now, are we seeing the split if we apply these two things to the concept of “transhumanism?”

The Advocacy of Transhumanism

This new ideology raises questions in society. Transhumanism advocates altering human capabilities to become “superhuman.” In other words, this advanced technology creates a hybrid between humans and machines, producing a new breed of human beings.

The question is, why do we want this?

Do we need to go the extra mile? What are we trying to prove?

To me, this sounds alarming.

Today, we live in a fast-paced development world. Everything around us is intensely and rapidly changing through advanced technology and science.

While these promise enhancement, efficiency, convenience, accessibility, vitality, and longevity, these also bring forth something else. — Interference and upheaval.

Deception is real. Deception is, indeed, pervasive to people who are hungry for more.

Thoughts To Ponder

Please have a moment to ponder these:

  • Could “transhumanism,” especially microchipping, be the Devil’s way of tampering with and corrupting God’s perfect design on humans?
  • Don’t you think transhumanism is altering God’s perfect creation?
  • Are we not abusing our capabilities and going beyond our limitations?
  • Is this technology revising our Divine path as well?
  • Is this new ideology not making us lose sight of our Divine path? Or is it?
  • Is being “superhuman” part of our Divine path?
  • Is it even “divine” in the first place?
  • With AI already in place, are we not wondering what’s next?
  • Where are we heading?
  • What are we becoming?
Let us not forget who we are — HUMAN BEINGS meant to live a LIMITED BUT PURPOSEFUL life. We are NOT God, omniscient and infinite.

Final Thought

Any alteration creates a causal sequence to the grand design of something.

If we alter our Divine design, we also alter our Divine path.

And if so, what kind of path are we then taking? What path are YOU taking?
